What We Do
We inform, inspire, engage, advocate and connect, to champion physical activity for all children by mobilising a global community.
01
Inform
We Inform people about the latest trends, research and news about children’s physical activity. For example, sharing information and analysis on the most recent data on children’s inactivity at global and regional levels, reports that make the case for increased investment for physical activity, or research into what works to engage children in different age groups.
02
Inspire
We Inspire people through case studies of successful initiatives from around the world, and developing and sharing new resources. This will include initiatives whose beauty is in their simplicity, projects that use innovative approaches including leveraging new technologies, and programmes that are specially tailored to work with children who have least access to physical activity.
03
Engage
Our aim is to harness the power of collective action, and we therefore Engage people through collective pledges, involvement in conferences and events, and through working groups and joint projects. For example, member participation at ISCA’s 2025 MOVE Congress, or ISPAH’s 2026 Congress.
04
Advocate
We Advocate for increased integration of physical activity in policies, legislation and funding initiatives. For example, ensuring that physical activity and grassroots sports are recognised and appreciated during the UN General Assembly (September 2025) on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and the promotion of mental health and wellbeing.
05
Connect
Through all our actions we Connect actors from across sectors. This includes connecting with platforms and industries that can contribute to children’s physical activity, for example, social media platforms (and the influencers on them).
